Circular Economy activities

The soon-to-open boutique in Gagliano del Capo is a second-hand store that aims to reduce waste and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. Those who wish to do so will be able to acquire professional and social skills, as well as self-confidence, while taking part in a motivating project aimed at reducing our environmental impact.

The boutique accepts donations and deposits/sales of clothing, home accessories, small furniture, appliances and more.

All profits are used to finance Alia Vita's social initiatives.

We also offer furniture removal service after the death of a loved one.

Flea Markets

The next markets will take place in September in Gagliano del Capo.

Participation is open to everyone to sell their personal belongings.

The stand (3x2) is free for members and children under 15 (personal items).

For non members we ask a donation of EUR 20

No material is provided.

In 2026 we would like to host the first "Global Contest for Circular Economy and Sustainability Ideas and Initiatives". GREENEYE

Mind and Body Wellbeing

Italy's remote areas struggle to get adequate and timely medical, care and services.

For the elderly and disabled, who are often isolated and alone, going to the doctor, the pharmacy, the bank, or simply managing their mobile phone or going to the supermarket is a struggle and a worry. They have to rely on others and often have to give up, to the detriment of their wellbeing and health.

With the help of volunteers and generous donors, Alia Vita will purchase vehicles and organise transport, assistance, meals and delivery for those in need.

Care & transport for elderly & those in need

Alia Vita accompanies the integration of people with a handicap through various activities related to nature or through their work in our second-hand shop.

From handicap at birth to a disability due to age or following a neurological or cardiac accident, we listen to your interests and abilities and partner with you to find a purpose in your journey of integration into the community.

Helping the inclusion of people with a difference

Alia Vita organises events and activities with local associations, companies, schools and volunteers to raise awareness of the importance of caring for our planet. Such as :

Clean Day events: throughout Puglia we mobilise communities to clean up their towns, streets and countryside.

Farm Days: educational afternoons for children, the disabled and adults to raise awareness of biodiversity and reconnect with nature and its cycles.

Biodiversity and Sustainability

Communities in action for a better future

Indigenous reforestation and the rehabilitation of abandoned land are essential steps in restoring the environment and enhancing biodiversity. By participating in this programme, individuals and communities can help restore ecosystems that are suffering neglect and degradation. To learn more ->>

We have rehabilitated 2 hectares and replanted 150 indigenous olive and fruit trees.

Olive trees in Europe and North Africa are dying as a result of a bacterium called Xylella fastidiosa. If you would like to contribute to this particular cause, you can make a donation directly to our partner organisation Save the Olives.

Distribution of 3000 portable ashtrays on beaches /in public places in Summer 2025

Cigarette butts release hundreds of hard-to-degrade chemicals that often end up in the water. A cigarette butt pollutes 500 liters of water, and filters take a long time to decompose.

Our ashtray is an ideal solution to prevent abandoned cigarette butts on beaches and in public places. It makes collecting and disposing of them easy.

Using our ashtray helps reduce air pollution and protect the ecosystem.
